BREAKING! The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office is in the process of purchasing brand new vehicles to replace its aging fleet. Recently, several of the Department’s vehicles were totaled when a female motorist, seemingly suffering from a medical emergency, destroyed one Deputy’s SUV. Another incident involved a State Trooper losing control of his patrol vehicle during a vehicle pursuit and crashing it into a Deputy’s patrol car. Weazel News reached out to Sheriff Riedel for comments and he stated that his department is funding this project through insurance reimbursements and a federal law enforcement vehicle grant, which was awarded to both Blaine County and Los Santos County. Interestingly, the Sheriff is changing the primary color of his fleet to white, which he says will allow for greater visibility on the roadways and increased public safety.
